Sarojini's talk will be followed by a screening of the film “CAN WE SEE THE
BABY BUMP PLEASE?”  a film on commercial surrogacy in India that explores
questions and concerns through the experiences of surrogate women. The
film’s narrative traces the ethical challenges, medical malpractice, and
potential exploitation that can occur when surrogacy is practiced in a legal
vacuum, while also highlighting and understanding the interplay of surrogate
women’s choices, contexts and compulsions. This film is, produced by
Sama-Resource Group for Women and Health and directed  by Ms Surabhi Sharma.

Speaker Sarojini N is the director and co-founder of Sama - Resource group
for Women and Health - an organization that works on multiple issues ranging
from women's reproductive health in a feminist context to the conduct of
illegal drug trials in India.
