Friends,

I’m writing to you from the Climate Justice Hub in Somerville, MA. Like many people from across New England, we’re busy preparing for Sunday’s action at the Brayton Point Coal Plant. We’re painting banners, constructing props, calling reporters, and finishing the last of the stenciled T-shirts -- this is going to be a colorful, beautiful action.

In just two days, we’ll be gathering at Brayton Point for one of the largest climate demonstrations in New England’s history.

It’s not too late to join us for Sunday’s protest at the Brayton Point coal plant - click here to get all the details: joinsummerheat.org/massachusetts <http://act.350.org/go/3304?t=1&akid=3386.945744.rG-swb>

Brayton Point is the largest coal-fired power plant in New England. It’s old and nasty, spewing tons of carbon dioxide into the air each year -- plus arsenic, mercury, lead, and dozens of other dangerous pollutants.

It’s not too late: join us on Sunday <http://act.350.org/go/3304?t=2&akid=3386.945744.rG-swb> and demand that Governor Patrick shut down Brayton Point as soon as possible.

You can meet us on Sunday at 8am at one of the Park and Rides in Somerset, MA (there’s one on Slade’s Ferry Ave, and there’s another on Wilbur Ave). You can also meet us at the train station in Providence, RI. All the logistical details are on our website here: summerheatbraytonpoint.org/ <http://act.350.org/go/3455?t=3&akid=3386.945744.rG-swb> Bring water, snacks, signs and a loud voice! (If you’re interested in risking arrest, make sure you come to Saturday’s training in Providence at 1pm at 1520 Broad St too!)

We're less than 48 hours away. Are you ready to make history <http://act.350.org/go/3304?t=4&akid=3386.945744.rG-swb> ?

Love and solidarity,
Emily from 350 Massachusetts
