There's a new newsgroup in town!

Today Versus News launched its website at *http://versusnews.org/*.

Versus News is an independent news media group that reports on social and
political events and issues. With a national and international focus,
Versus News will report on issues related to the environment, poverty,
race, gender and feminism, war, healthcare, politics, prisons, and breaking
news. In effort to resist how the mainstream media thinks, Versus News has
a multicultural and diverse Editorial Staff who is committed to reporting
with fairness, and starting conversations in the community.

Versus News is composed of staff from the Boston Occupier, as well as new
staff members. After 15 successful newspaper issues, the Boston Occupier
decided it was time to transition into Versus News.

Within the next year, Versus News will publish a monthly print magazine,
and solidify as a worker-owned co-operative newsgroup
