*LOCKING DOWN ON KEYSTONE XL:*

*A NIGHT WITH TIM DECHRISTOPHER AND THE WESTBOROUGH 8*

September 29th, 7-9PM: First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 3 Church
St Cambridge MA

After two years in jail for disrupting an oil and gas auction, Tim
DeChristopher <http://www.bidder70.org/>has arrived in Boston. On Sunday
September 29th, Tim will host a *fundraiser and movement-building
event*<https://www.facebook.com/events/1416366595250464/>
with theWestborough 8 <http://www.january7th.wordpress.com/>, eight New
England youth who chained and superglued themselves earlier this year into
the MA office of TransCanada to protest the company locking their
generation into climate disaster by building the Keystone XL pipeline.

Tim and the Westborough 8 will reflect on the role of civil disobedience in
the climate justice movement and the choice facing each and every one of us
as Obama’s moment of decision on the Keystone XL pipeline quickly
approaches.

Tickets for the event will be $25 and can be purchased at the door or on
eventbrite <http://westborough8.eventbrite.com/>. We also have $10 student
tickets available. If you're not a student but the ticket fee still
presents a hardship, please email us at info at justandstable.org and we will
make sure that you can attend.

Proceeds from the event will go to covering the legal and action costs for
the Westborough 8, which total $5190. Any additional funds will be donated
to the four activists with Michigan Coalition Against Tar Sands facing
felony charges for their lock-down against the expansion of Enbridge’s Line
6B pipeline, which in 2010 spilled more than 1 million gallons of tar sands
oil into the Kalamazoo River.

**If you can't attend the event but still want to help the Westborough 8
cover their action costs, please donate
here<https://www.wepay.com/donations/ma-tar-sands-solidarity>
