Dear Kevin,

Airbnb displaces people from their homes, from Boston to Palestine. Join the Stolen Homes coalition to tell Fidelity Investments: No Airbnb on Israeli-occupied land!

Tell Airbnb to Stop Listing #StolenHomes!

Friday, June 3, 12 PM

Fidelity Investments: 245 Summer St, Boston
Details

As one of Airbnb’s main investors, Fidelity should ensure that Airbnb abides by international law.

By allowing users to list and rent properties in illegal settlements, Airbnb profits off of Israel’s continued occupation of Palestinian land and facilitates settlement expansion.

Affordable housing and anti-gentrification activists across the country also protest Airbnb, which drives property values up in low-income neighborhoods, pushing families out of their homes. See the event page for a list of coalition members and co-sponsors.

Screening of Pinkwashing Exposed: Seattle Fights Back

Tuesday, June 7 at 7 PM - 9 PM

Make Shift Boston: 549 Columbus Ave
Details

Are you confused about what pinkwashing is, and wanting to learn? Are you familiar with pinkwashing but not sure how it manifests in our local communities? Are you looking for ways to build political community and prepare for PRIDE?

Join us for the screening of a 1 hour documentary produced by queer and trans folks about pinkwashing, or the exploitation of LGBT people and rights as a tactic for whitewashing Israeli human rights abuses. It follows Seattle queer and trans activists successfully lobbying their local LGBT Commission to drop an Israeli-government-supported tour featuring gay and lesbian activists.

Honoring the observance of Ramadan, light snacks and refreshments will be enjoyed after 8:30 Good conversation and learning will be facilitated. Co-sponsored by JVP-Boston, Black and Pink, The Network/La Red, and Moishe Kavod House.
