and the environment" will be the theme of an overview of China's
environmental policy by Duncan McFarland. A powerpoint presentation by
Mary Klug entitled “China and the Environment: Chinese People Care” will
describe her experiences working with the Chinese people on environmental
sustainability with the Pachamama Alliance. Emily Dong will talk about,
"Chinese New Year and China's Traditional Culture."

*Zhantao Lin* will perform traditional Chinese music on the *erhu*, a
two-stringed bowed musical instrument. Zhantao is a renowned performer and
teacher and a member of the Chinese Musicians Association. He has
performed broadly, including the MFA, Peabody Essex Museum and Lincoln
Center. In 2019 he was awarded the title, Blodgett Visiting Artist by the

ties to China. Emily Dong's has family ties in China and spoke at the

China is critical in today's world and building personal relationships is
imperative, especially as tensions increase between the governments.

*Pachamama Alliance* is a global community that offers people the chance to
learn, connect, engage, travel and cherish life for the sustainable future
that works for us all. With roots deep in the Amazon rainforest, the
programs integrate indigenous wisdom and modern knowledge to support
