Lee Schlenker will update us on current campaigns, speaking tours and
delegations to Cuba, Colombia, Honduras and Venezuela. Also he will
discuss information about contemporary US policy in Latin America and
the Caribbean, connections with projections, and reflections on the
continental advance of the re-colonial project. Also, notions of and
strategies for solidarity during and beyond the election season.
Schlenker will provide Opportunities to tap in and get involved right now.
• */Lee Schlenker/,* a graduate in Latin American Urban Studies from
Middlebury College, is a bilingual researcher, community organizer and
urban professional with experience living and working in the US, Cuba
and Mexico. He is working as regional organizer with Witness for Peace
New England. Lee is a former Cuba International Team Member with Witness
for Peace, having facilitated and coordinated 25+ people-to-people
solidarity delegations to Cuba in partnership with the M.L.K. Memorial
Center in Havana. He is a current member of the Boston Venezuela
Solidarity Committee and the Boston July 26th Coalition.
