Dear All,

Today Harvard custodians will hold a day of action, as they struggle to
negotiate an extension of their contract in the face of Harvard's layoff
threats. The world's richest university is refusing to promise job security
for outsourced custodians, putting hundreds of jobs, workers and families
at potential risk.

Please call and email HU's Director of Labor Relations Paul Curran at 617
496-9193 / paul_curran at harvard.edu. Suggested message:

*"I demand NO LAYOFFS of any essential Harvard custodians during the
pandemic!"*

If you can, mask up, spread out and join custodians as they demonstrate at
any of the following places / times on the Harvard campus:

*Wednesday 11/18*
WHERE: Harvard Yard (12:00 PM), Bio Labs at Divinity Ave (12:00 PM),
Graduate School of Education at 6 Appian Way (2:30 PM), and Center for
Government and International Studies at the corner of Cambridge St & Quincy
St (3:30 PM).

In Solidarity,

Geoff Carens, Union Rep, Harvard Union of Clerical & Technical Workers
[personal capacity]
(they/them)
