    *Wednesday, December 9 **5:00-6:00 pm
    MCAN's ZOOM Living Room*

Join us to unpack and understand S.2963 -
/"An Act relative to justice, equity and accountability
in law enforcement in the Commonwealth"/

Following the brutal killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, just
two in a line of painful stories, the MCAN Network began to reimagine
what public safety could look like across the Commonwealth through
demilitarization, accountability and reinvestment within police
departments.

At the same time, conversations began on Beacon Hill resulting in the
recently released policing justice bill from the House-Senate Conference
Committee. How proactive is this bill and what will it take to actually
realize the justice, equity and accountability it seeks from law
enforcement in Massachusetts?

Featured speakers include:

Rahsaan Hall, Director of the Racial Justice Program, ACLU Massachusetts

Sen. Sonia Chang-Díaz, 2nd Suffolk District
