Hello comrades,

I'm reaching out to encourage you to join United American Indians of New England, Jericho Boston, BDS Boston, and other community members this Monday Feb 7th 4:00pm at the JFK Federal Building in Boston, to DEMAND the U.S. government release Indigenous political prisoner Leonard Peltier. Flyer for the rally attached to this email.

Leonard Peltier is the longest held Indigenous political prisoner in the United States, and was recently diagnosed with Covid-19. Among those who've called for Peltier's release are the National Congress of American Indians which represents over 500 Indigenous nations, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, multiple members of congress, and even one of the one of the main federal prosecutors on Peltier's case, James Reynolds, who admits that the government's case against Peltier was premised upon lies, coercion of witnesses, and sheer racism. You can learn more about the struggle to Free Leonard Peltier here<https://www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/> and here<https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/feb/02/leonard-peltier-is-americas-longest-held-indigenous-prisoner-he-should-be-freed>.

Hope to see you Monday!
William
