On March 14, 2022 the UK Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal
<https://twitter.com/couragefound/status/1504074849194586113?s=20&t=SiJNjHjIToVUGGErZNuqGA>
by
Assange on the High Court’s decision to accept US assurances provided
following the District Court’s decision not to extradite him to the US. The
Supreme Court did not accept a point of law that was raised by the
defense. This refusal sets a dangerous precedent for all journalists that
threaten the interests of empire.

The case will now be referred back to the District Court. That Court’s
decision is reversed and the case will be referred to the Home Secretary
Priti Patel for a decision. It is expected that Patel will order his
extradition, but let's flood her with messages telling her not to. (*Priti
Patel*, Home Secretary, Home Office, 2 Marsham St Westminster, London SW1P
4DF, UK, ph: 020 7035-4848, Public.Enquiries at homeoffice.gov.uk)
