Art, Adventure and Activism

Please join us for an artist talk by Maria Termini on Wednesday November
9 at 7 PM at Unbound Visual Arts Arthaus Gallery located at 43 North
Beacon Street, Allston, MA 02134. In this talk Maria Termini will
discuss the evolution of her art throughout many years of working as an
artist with a focus on the works that are in her current retrospective
exhibit “Impetuous Joy” at the Arthaus gallery. She will also talk about
her life’s experiences, challenges and adventures and how they have led
to her activism, more music and becoming a writer. Her exhibit at the
gallery will continue until November 23. For further information please

About Maria Termini
Maria Termini is an artist, musician, author and more. Adventure,
beauty, rich images, music, a search for justice and a reverence for the
earth are some of the many colored threads weaving the rich tapestry
that is the work of art progress of her life.
Maria Termini creates joyful artworks in acrylic, silkscreen,
watercolor, collage, colored pencil drawing and mosaics in the continual
expression of her visual imagination inspired by the wonder of nature.
Her art has been widely exhibited and is in the collections of many
non-profit organizations, as well as the Boston Public Library, the De
Cordova Museum, and the Fogg Museum. As the mother of grown twins and
has followed her bliss to backpacking adventures to Europe and South
America, a solo bus trip to Central America, serendipitous carpentry
jobs in Hawaii and the Virgin Islands, building houses with Habitat for
Humanity in Nicaragua and Boston, serving in the Peace Corps in Bolivia,
extensive traveling in Latin America and much more.
Maria Termini is the author of Silkscreening and four memoirs: Solitude
and Splendor: Living in the Schoolhouse, The Artist and the Spy, and
Driving Curiosity: On the Road in Central America and Through the
Mountains to the Stars. Her narrative essays and poetry have been
published in Little Patuxent Review, Caesura, the Lily Ledbetter
Anthology and other literary journals. Maria Termini is also a public
speaker and believes strongly in the power of words to inspire and
entertain. She is available to speak to your orgnization and has
developed many slide lectures related to her art and travels. More
