Pervez Hoodbhoy is a nuclear physicist and activist. He has been an ardent
promotor of freedom of speech, secularism, scientific temper and education
in Pakistan. He is actively involved with producing books in Urdu that
promote human rights and emancipation of women. He is the author of *Islam
and Science: Religious Orthodoxy and the Battle for Rationality*.



Sandeep Pandey, one of the founders of ASHA for Education, is a social
activist. He is currently the General Secretary of the Socialist Party of
India. He has taught as a visiting professor at Indian Institute of
Management Bangalore
