With a discussion regarding the persecution faced by African
asylum-seekers in Israel with journalist David Sheen, moderated by
Professor Duncan Kennedy.

About 60,000 African migrants have arrived in Israel since 2006. These
migrants have faced intense persecution and have been branded as
"infiltrators" by right-wing politicians determined to expel them from
Israel. This event is sponsored by Harvard Students Justice for
Palestine and co-sponsored by the Harvard African Law Association
(HALA), the Harvard Black Law Students Association (HBLSA), Justice for
Palestine (JFP), the Middle Eastern Law Students Association (MELSA),
and Unbound: Harvard Journal of the Legal Left.

Persian dinner will be provided.
