Just found out about this.  sorry for the late notice

This event taking place at Boston University tomorrow, April 1.  
Graciela Chailloux, who teaches at the University of Havana's Fernando 
Ortiz Advances Studies Program will be speaking at 5:00 PM at 138 
Mountfort Street, Brookline.  Her presentation is part of a a workshop 
titled "Angola, Cuba, the Caribbean: Culture, Race and Identity 
Formation, sponsored by the African American Studies Program at BU.

Graciela Chailloux was interviewed as part of the series by Henry Louis 
Gates on PBS, "Black in Latin America," about her experiences as a young 
volunteer taking part in the 1962 literacy drive in Cuba.
