*ATTN: People willing to lead arrestable actions against Keystone XL and
who are excited to learn lifelong skills ~*

This weekend in Boston, the Keystone XL Pledge of Resistance is training
people to lead, plan, and launch local civil disobedience actions to stop
the Keystone XL pipeline.

community
<https://act.credoaction.com/event/NoKXL_Training/3449/signup/?akid=&zip=02122>.*Come
to both days of the training, be firmly committed to principles of
non-violence, and be ready to take a lead role in organizing a civil
disobedience action in the Boston area (with the ongoing support of a
training coach.) The training will include basics of planning, preparing
for, and training others for civil disobedience action.

Over 90,000 people have pledged to risk arrest to stop the Keystone XL
pipeline, and President Obama may decide to approve or reject it by this
summer. If President Obama moves to approve Keystone XL, he will become the
target of the largest wave of civil disobedience in recent memory. The
"trigger" for the actions is the (as early as May 7) release of a Draft
National Interest Determination by the State Dept.

Over the last year, Rainforest Action Network has worked with CREDO and the
Other 98% to build a network of local civil disobedience teams. Over 100
actions are planned already, set to launch if necessary. They are offering
to train hundreds more people to anchor civil disobedience actions against
Keystone XL.

*April 12-13:* Ann Arbor, DC, Los Angeles, New YorkCost: Free!

Each of us who has signed the Pledge of Resistance brings different
personal reasons for being prepared to risk arrest if necessary to stop
Keystone XL. Our shared commitment is our best hope to stop Keystone XL,
but it won't be a game-changer unless more people are ready to take the
next step and be leaders in this movement. If you can't attend the training
this weekend, pass the info on to friends and family.
