The Militant
Labor Forum presents:

A War on Women?
Defending Women’s
Rights Today

Friday, August 8
7:30 p.m.

Two recent Supreme Court
decisions have been blasted as attacks on women: the overturning of the buffer
zone in front of clinics that provide abortions, and the decision that some
employers can deny insurance coverage in their health plans offered to
employees if it covered contraceptives and that was against the employer’s
religious beliefs.

As well, news coverage has
highlighted, in particular, rape of women in India.

Is this part of a war on women?

Come hear Sarah Ullman, socialist,  unionist and women’s right
fighter discuss how the attacks on women are part of the larger attacks on the
working class as the propertied class seeks to solve their financial crisis on
the backs of working people – men and women. How their attacks will create the
gravediggers of their class rule. Ullman will also look at how the oppression
of women rose with class society.
