**The Cultural Survival Bazaars are a series of cultural festivals that
provide Indigenous artists, cooperatives, and their representatives from
around the world the chance to sell their work directly to the American
public.

Each event features traditional and contemporary crafts, artwork,
clothing, jewelry, home goods, and accessories from dozens of countries.

In addition, the Bazaars offer cultural performances and presentations,
including live music, storytelling, craft-making demonstrations, and the
unique chance to talk directly with makers and community advocates.

The Cultural Survival Bazaar Program goals work to support the United
Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples’ articles 11,
20, and 31.
A reminder about two projects
for which we are fundraising:

Help educate Maya youth to be tomorrow's leaders

Scholarship fund for deserving young Maya to get a first-class
trilingual (English, Spanish, and Kaqchikel) college-prep education at
the non-profit Panajachel Colegio Internacional (PCI), where I have been
serving as board president for the past year. Read more HERE. Please
click HERE to make a tax deductible donation through AGES Foundation,
the “Friends of PCI” nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt foundation.

Check out this video and this video to learn more about PCI.

And visit the PCI website to find out more.

By supporting PCI, you are helping to:

     break the cycle of poverty
     empower indigenous communities
educate Maya youth to be tomorrow’s leaders
sustain a challenging multi-cultural learning environment
