Meet the Real Cuba: Travel for the Adventurous and Creative NEW!

Brookline Adult Ed.

Travel to Cuba is intriguing for many Americans, and with the opening of
U.S. travel to the island in 2016 there has been much new enthusiasm.
Despite recent swings in U.S. travel policy, it’s now still legal and
feasible for American travelers to visit Cuba under the “support for the
Cuban people” travel category, provided they comply with specific
guidelines. On this evening, Laura Quincy Jones and Yasser
Torriente-Rodriguez, who currently live in vibrant Havana, will share
their passion for the extraordinary people and lively culture of Cuba.
We'll discuss how travelers can have authentic and meaningful exchanges
while there, keeping in line with travel guidelines; and touch on
cultural gems such as dance and music, public health and education, and
social consciousness...along with the cigars and old cars.
