We cordially invite you to join us this Tuesday, election evening, 6-10
PM, to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2008 Socialist Workers
Party presidential campaign of Róger Calero and Alyson Kennedy.
Pizza and refreshments will be served.
We will be at the Socialist Workers Campaign headquarters at 13 Bennington St., 2nd floor
from 6 to about 10 p.m. on November 4.
We will have a TV and other media on hand and discuss the elections and
what working people will be facing in the coming years.
At 9:15 PM we will tune in via a telephone
conference network to hear remarks by both candidates, who will be
speaking at a gathering at the national campaign headquarters in New
York.
There
will also be a display of some of the coverage in New England of the
Socialist Workers candidates, including William Leonard, the candidate
for State Senate in the 2nd Suffolk District. Leonard's testimony
against the biological war research lab at the hearing sponsored by the National Institute of Health on the Bio Lab was heard Sunday, Nov. 2 on the WMBR show Radio With a
View (you can hear it by going to the following link for WMBR -- which
is actually the link for the following show but since the show ran late
the full airing of his remarks can be heard about 3 minutes into the
link for the World Beat show:
http://wmbr.org m3u/World_Beat_20081102_1200.m3u).
The current issue of the Militant newspaper features a lead editorial urging a
vote for the SWP as the working class alternative to imperialist war,
economic depression and racist discrimination. http://www.themilitant.com/2008/7244/724401.html.
