Hey people if you haven't heard or seen, this is going to be an amazing event!
I'm calling all of ya'll to come out, eat, dance, listen,and speakout. Help us
shed light on the impact of the Prison system on our communities, stand with
our brothers and sisters behind the walls, and challenge an uneffective and
harmful system while we embrace new models for justice and effective ideas for
peace. We want to hear you!!. And my band (Black August) is going to be in full
effect along with Foundation Movement and MC Catch Rek. And It's free !! So b
there. Peace Love.

Please join us for a community event to highlight the effects of the prison
system on the community as well as the work being done to fight for equal
justice, rehabilitation and restorative justice, through personal stories,
music, poetry and speakers.

6:00 - 6:45 – EAT, MEET, GREET. Doors open, tabling, food will be served.

6:45 - 7:45 – SPEAK-OUT! Speakers include people who have come in contact
with the prison system, including ex-prisoners, lawyers who work within the
system, poets, organizers, youth, etc. The speak-out is open to anyone who
would like to participate.

8:00 - 10:00 – LIVE MUSIC! Featuring Boston’s premier Hip Hop group the
Foundation Movement and New York’s Black August.

Poetry and artwork by people in prison will be exhibited. Local groups
organizing around prison and criminal justice-related issues will have tables
with information on how you can get involved in this important work.

Light dinner will be provided.
