Protest Against Congressman Ed Markey pro-"Israel" pro-war event

Protest in defense of Palestine & Iran and against Zionism and  
against imperialist wars!

US Congressman Ed Markey is going to be speaking at Temple Emunah in  
Lexington, MA at a forum organized by JCRC (the Boston-area umbrella  
group of Jewish Zionist organizations), AIPAC, the "Israeli"  
consulate (,i.e., the "Israeli" government itself), the David  
Project, and other Zionist groups.

Markey's topic will be the alleged "nuclear threat" from Iran.  The  
event is designed to push for war against Iran while ignoring or  
whitewashing Zionist crimes against Palestine.  More info at http://

Congressman Markey voted 'yes' on the congressional resolution  
supporting "Israel's" genocidal attack on the Gaza Strip last  
January.  A group of pro-Palestinian constituents requested a meeting  
with Markey to discuss Gaza.  Markey refused to meet with them. The  
constituents have protested at Markey's office in Medford several  
times.  Markey's appearance at Temple Emunah this week is an  
extension of his refusal to consider Palestinian human rights. Not  
only will Markey not even meet with constituents who support  
Palestinian human rights; instead Markey has met with the  
perpetrators of genocide against Palestinians and now has agreed to  
appear in public again to support the "Israeli" government. Instead  
of questioning "Israeli" actions against Palestinians, Markey will be  
demonizing Iran and preparing for war against Iran.

In August 2006 Markey spoke at the same temple sharing the stage with  
the "Israeli" consul to endorse  the zionist entity's war of  
aggression against Lebanon.  Now Markey is back again.

The event on Thursday is organized by JCRC of Greater Boston.  JCRC  
is using paid advertisements on Facebook to advertise this pro-war  
event. JCRC is a non-profit organization that claims to represent a  
religious group but that uses its donations to do political  
organizing for pro-war causes,  racist propaganda against Arabs and  
Muslims, and support for illegitimate Jewish-supremacist rule in  
Palestine. The "US" government allows JCRC to do this while at the  
same time the "US" government is arresting and imprisoning leaders of  
Muslim charities for alleged tenuous ties to "terrorists" even though  
the Muslim charities use their money for actual humanitarian  
activities. JCRC's facebook ad initially only had the title of the  
Markey event, "Security, Nuclear Proliferation & Energy  
Independence", and did not mention Iran. Only when you clicked on the  
ad to go to the event page on the JCRC website could you see that it  
is all about attacking Iran. In this way JCRC and the "Israeli"  
government are using a non-controversial issue that everyone aggrees  
on (Energy Independence) to try to trick people into coming to listen  
to the anti-Iran rhetoric or to endorse the event.

JCRC of Greater Boston has long been even more hawkish against Iran  
than other Jewish Zionist groups in the "USA" are. In 2007 the  
leadership of JCRC Boston went to the national JCRC Convention (JCPA  
Plenum) and proposed the formation of a national organization to push

In 2008 "Israeli" foreign minister (and later candidate for prime  
minister) Tzippi Livni came to Boston and addressed the Massachusetts  
state legislature to ask them to adopt a resolution demonizing Iran.  
This year JCRC and the "Israeli" government are continuing to push  
for war or other imperialist interventions against Iran.  JCRC's  
website is supporting a new US federal sanctions bill against Iran  
that JCRC admits is designed to destroy the Iranian economy.   
Economic sanctions are a tool of imperialist warfare that cause  
immense suffering for poor people in targeted countries.

Zionist imperialists are using a two-pronged propaganda strategy  
against Iran. They are continuing to use their ridiculous  
scaremongering accusations about a nuclear threat from Iran. Iran has  
no nuclear weapons while "Israel" and the "USA" have lots of nuclear  
weapons.  Incredibly Markey will deliver his speech against "nuclear  
Iran" on August 6, the anniversary of the nuclear bombing of  
Hiroshima.  The "United States of America", under the administration  
of the Democratic Party, is the only political entity that has ever  
used nuclear weapons in war.

Since the recent presidential election in Iran, the Zionist  
imperialists have also launched a propaganda blitz of false  
accusations of election rigging and political repression in Iran.  
This phony "human rights" cover fools some people who would otherwise  
protest against war threats on Iran.  The reality is that the Iranian  
people have benefitted enormously from the Islamic Revolution that  
freed them from foreign imperialist control of their resources.  Poor  
people in Iran have seen their standard of living improve and  
especially so since President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been in office  
and instituted more programs to redistribute the country's wealth to  
poor people.  Ahmadinejad is refusing to privatize industries,  
refusing to allow western monopoly capitalist corporations to take  
over Iran.  Instead he is leading Iran to engage in mutually  
beneficial fair trade with Venezuela (and the ALBA countries), Sudan,  
China and Russia.  Ahmadinejad is also one of the most articulate,  
inspiring and popular speakers in the world.  He speaks against  
Zionism and colonialism and imperialism and war.  For all these  
reasons the Zionist imperialists want to remove Ahmadinejad.   The

  At the same time the imperialists have staged a coup in Honduras so  
that activists on Latin American issues will be busy defending  
Honduras and not have time for solidarity with Iran.  At the  
beginning of June, just prior to the Iranian election, "Israeli"  
Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon traveled to Honduras to the OAS  
(Organization of American States) meeting  with the expressly stated  
purpose of countering Iranian influence in Latin America. Ayalon then  
travelled to New York to participate in the "Israeli Independence"  
parade and then to Washington DC to meet with Obama administration

Honduras, during the Manuel Zelaya presidency, is a member of ALBA,  
the Bolivarian Alternative fair trade group which includes Venezuela,  
Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Dominica.  Venezuelan President Hugo  
Chavez is on record saying that the Islamic Revolution in Iran and  
the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela are playing key roles in a  
process of shaping a new international order, a revolutionary economy

Iranian election at which three new countries (Ecuador, St Vincent &  
the Grenadines, and Antigua & Barbuda) formally joined ALBA.  At this  
meeting ALBA adopted a resolution supporting Ahmadinejad & the  
Islamic Revolution in Iran and opposing foreign interference and

Obama's vice president Joe Biden recently said that it is ok for  
"Israel" to attack Iran.

This is the context in which Markey will be speaking at the Zionist  
anti-Iran forum at Temple Emunah in Lexington this Thursday.  
"Israeli" crimes against Palestinians are still whitewashed or not  
discussed. And it is possible that the "USA" and/or "Israel" will  
really launch a full-scale war or even a nuclear attack against Iran  
soon. It is a very serious and urgent situation.
