The Militant Labor Forum presents
Feminism
and the Marxist Movement
As the capitalist
economic depression deepens the ruling rich continue to attack the basic living
conditions and democratic rights of working people. Deep cuts in state and federal programs are
pushing more of the burden for social needs like health care, education and
care of the elderly onto families -- and onto women. Attacks on abortion rights and affirmative
action threaten to roll back hard-won gains for women’s’ equality.
The liberation of
women is inseparably linked to the struggle of the working class to transform
all economic and social relations through the fight to overthrow capitalist
rule.
Come to a discussion
that looks at the lessons of the revolutionary workers movement over more than
150 years in championing women’s struggle for emancipation.
