Labor Notes Fund-raiser with Bands and Fun!

For over 30 years, Labor Notes has been putting the movement back in the
labor movement. Mark Brenner, coordinator of Labor Notes, will be speaking
in Boston on this Saturday, April 3rd. This year's conference in Detroit
which expects over a thousand union activist participants. Mark will be
speaking on the conference themes of **defending jobs and the public sector,
linking up struggles and a political strategy for the labor movement. Mark
will be followed by two bands filled with activists. Jake and the Infernal
Machine, a folk-punk act will play as well as Labor Power, a rock

The event will begin at 6:30 on Saturday, April 3rd in Chinatown at
Encuentro Cinco which is the fifth floor of 33 Harrison Avenue in the
UNITE-HERE building. Donations will be sought to help send young workers and
the unemployed to the Labor Notes conference in Michigan. See labornotes.org.
Bands will play until about 11pm.
