Hello! Come check out these exciting programs at the JP Forum!
Lisa Napoli: Happiness Lessons From the Kingdom of Bhutan
When: Thursday February 10th, 2011 at 7:00 P.M.
Where: First Church in Jamaica Plain, 6 Eliot St, Jamaica Plain, 02130
Speaker: Lisa Napoli
When Lisa Napoli found herself unhappy with the fast-paced U.S. media world, she volunteered to help start Bhutan’s first youth-oriented radio station. In her time in Bhutan, Napoli learned more about the people, history and culture of the “last Buddhist kingdom” and the “happiest kingdom on Earth,” and she also learned quite a bit about herself. She’s sharing those lessons in her new book, Radio Shangri-la: What I Learned in Bhutan, the Happiest Kingdom on Earth (Random House). Come learn more about the kingdom of Bhutan and its lessons for us all.
UPCOMING FORUM--
SPECIAL GUEST: SENATOR BERNIE SANDERS
When: Sunday February 13th, 2011 at 3:00 P.M.
Where: First Church in Jamaica Plain, 6 Eliot St, Jamaica Plain, 02130
Speaker: Senator, Bernie Sanders
The JP Forum hosts Vermont Senator Bernard Sanders in his only public Boston appearance. Bernie is the longest serving independent member of Congress in U.S. history. He has been an outspoken champion for peace, worker rights, energy independence, environmental health, and fair taxation. During the 2010 Lame Duck Congress, the nation watched as Senator Sanders gave a riveting speech rebuking the tax compromise between the White House and the Republican leadership in the House and Senate. He has spent his entire career fighting for the people of Vermont and United States. This Valentines Day Eve, come show Bernie some love!
