Join acclaimed Latino director Luis Argueta for a special, first-time
screening and discussion of his new documentary, "abUSed: The Postville
Raid." The film tells the story of Immigration and Customs Enforcement's
massive raid on the Agriprocessors kosher meatpacking plant in the
sleepy town of Postville, Iowa, in 2008. "abUSed: The Postville Raid"
takes us behind the scenes of one of the largest immigration raids in US
history, exploring issues of social justice, labor and immigrants'
rights and ethical kosher production. Set in Iowa and Guatemala, with
stopovers in Washington, DC, courtrooms, this remarkable documentary is
sure to spark discussion and debate. Stay after the screening to discuss
socially-engaged journalism and documentary filmmaking with the director!
