Biju Mathew is an organizer with the Mining Zone Peoples Solidarity
Group (a transnational solidarity group that works of the politics of
resource extraction) and the New York Taxi Workers Alliance (a NYC
based labor union of immigrant taxi drivers). He is an Associate
Professor of Business and American Studies at Rider University. NJ. He
works on international labor markets as well as models of resistance
to neo liberalism. His book Taxi! Cabs and Capitalism in NYC (Cornell,
2008) is a landmark on the politics of new immigrants organizing.
