Friday, December 9, is the last day of 2011 Occupy Augusta.
Facing a 9:00 PM curfew, Occupy Augusta campers are dismantling the encampment tonight.  Citizens are invited to come down and help, and if you can, bring warm food.  But remember, everyone has to be out of Capitol Park by 9:00 PM.
On Friday morning, the tipi, donated by Jane Sanford of Belfast, will be taken down.  Again, citizens are invited to come down and help, and if you can, bring warm food.  The encampment has to be abandoned by 12 Noon, according to Capitol Security.

What you can do?
Give your name and a way to contact you to a Occupy Augusta camper or yours truly so you can sign up to be a CITIZEN LOBBYIST when the state legislature goes back into session.
Take part in the Women in Black vigil from 12:30 to 1:00 PM every Friday in front of Lithgow Library.
March in the Hallowell Christmas parade with supporters of Occupy Augusta, Women in Black and Veterans for Peace on Saturday, December 10 (Human Rights Day).  Bring a sign and join us prior to the parade at the starting point, the Hallowell boat landing on the south side of downtown, beginning at 4:30 PM.  The parade begins at 5:00 with fireworks at 5:30 PM.

Wonderful! Thank you so much Roger! I will be dressed in the Santa Suit,
but I may fashion a sign that says: Santa, Hallowell Mayor, and part of the 99%!
