"Marking International Women's Day"

International Women's Day is annually held on March 8th to celebrate women's
achievements throughout history and across nations. Laurie Taymor-Berry and
Virginia Pratt will be the presenters. Laurie is a member of WILPF &
Survivors Inc and Virigina is a member of WILPF.

The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) was founded
in 1915 and it the oldest women's peace organization. WILPF connects peace,
environment, racial and social justice issues with a belief that people
everywhere are entitled to enjoy basic rights to heath care, housing,
education, job equality, and a safe and clean environment. Survivors Inc is
a group of low-income women and their allies who organize and educate around
poverty, welfare and low-income survival issues.

Music will be provided by members of The Raging Grannies!

On Sunday after our morning programs, we have lunch with one another,
prepared by our cook Luis Alonso Guzman. Enjoy a delicious lunch with
friends! A small contribution is requested to help cover lunch expenses.

DIRECTIONS/PARKING

The Community Church is located at 565 Boylston Street in Copley Square,
between Dartmouth and Clarendon Streets.

Parking is available on Sunday mornings at the Back Bay Garage (entrances on
Clarendon Street or St. James Ave.). We can provide a sticker to affix to
your parking receipt, and you will be charged $5.00 for 3 hours of parking.

By public transportation, take the Green line to Copley or take the Orange
line to Back Bay station. Community Church is a 2-minute walk from either
station.
