*Do you want to help nurses make patients safer in our hospitals? *

Please take a moment to learn about two important ballot initiatives
being moved forward by the Mass. Nurses Association (MNA):

 1. *The Patient Safety Act*will require Massachusetts hospitals to set
a safe limit on the number of patients a nurse can care for at one
time and to adjust those staffing levels based on the actual needs
of patients. Currently there is no law and no limit on the number of
    patients assigned to a nurse.
 2. *The Hospital Profit Transparency and Fairness Act*would limit CEO
compensation to 100 times that of the lowest paid employee, require
hospitals to report all financial holdings and revenues, and limit
and clawback excess profits to establish a fund to ensure taxpayer
dollars are dedicated exclusively to the delivery of safe patient
care and necessary health care services.

November 8th is the deadline to have petitions in at the MNA office.
That means as of this weekend, *we only have 2 weeks left* to ensure
citizens have the opportunity to vote on safe patient limits and
financial transparency in the use of taxpayer money by hospitals.

*TAKE ACTION TODAY!*
