The history of the world's highest water fall began more than three
billion years
ago with the formation of the oldest country in the world. A lost world, an
ancient culture represented by the Pemón, who some fifteen thousand years
ago, planted its roots in the Tierras Altas de Guayana, south of Bolivar
state known today in Venezuela. Owners of a paradise located at the foot of
Auyantepuy named the most important tourist attraction in the country as "
Kerepakupai-vena."

"Kerepakupai-vena" - The Forgotten Expedition ... marking the worldwide
launch of the Angel as the highest waterfall in the world. In 1949 the American
journalist Ruth Robertson led the expedition that measured the waterfall,
and in November the same year in National Geographic magazine
published worldwide
the story, revealing that in the land of Simon Bolivar is the jump world's
tallest water.

*****La historia de la caída más alta del mundo comenzó hace más de tres
mil millones de años con la formación del territorio más antiguo del
planeta. Un mundo perdido, una cultura ancestral representada por la etnia
Pemón, quienes hace unos quince mil años atrás, sembraron sus raíces en las
Tierras Altas de Guayana, al sur del hoy conocido estado Bolívar en
territorio venezolano. Dueños de un paraíso ubicado a los pies del
Auyantepuy bautizaron el atractivo turístico más importante del país como
“Kerepakupai-Vená”.

*La caída de agua más alta del planeta está en Venezuela*:
“Kerepakupai-Vená” - La Expedición Olvidada... conmemora la medición y
lanzamiento mundial del Salto Ángel como la caída de agua más alta del
planeta. En 1949 la periodista norteamericana Ruth Robertson lideró la
expedición que midió al salto de agua, y en ese mismo año en noviembre la
revista National Geographic publicó a nivel mundial el reportaje, dando a
conocer que en la tierra de Simón Bolívar se encuentra el salto de agua más
alto del mundo.
